Peto Memorial Garden - Chickerell Town Council - Weymouth

The Peto Memorial Land Enhancement contract was awarded to Banyards' Landscaping division following a successful tendering process, with work commencing in mid January 2005.

Funding for the project was provided by Chickerell Town Council, West Dorset District Council and The Library in Chickerell. Banyards worked closely with Caroline Sharp from Land-Form Landscape Architects Ltd and Jim Prowse, Clerk to Chickerell Town Council, to ensure that the project ran smoothly.

The transformation from day one was quite remarkable, as can be seen in the photographs below. The opening ceremony was performed on a sunny June day by the Mayor of Chickerell and attended by representatives from all the organisations involved in the project, not least the main contractors - Banyards!
