Picus Tomograph for Dorset County Council

Click here for full story Working within the Dorset Arboriculture Services Partnership Banyards recently provided their own Picus Tomograph equipment and a climber to help survey one of the three largest Cedars in the country at Lytchett Manor, Dorset. One Tomograph was not enough to span the girth of this ancient tree and so two others, providing a total of 30 sensors, were used


Scots Pine section fell with crane lift

When there is not enough room, or it is unsafe to perform a 'straight fell', the tree has to be section-felled to ground level. Due to the weight of some of these sections, a crane can be required to safely lower each section to ground level.


Peto Memorial Garden - Chickerell Town Council - Weymouth

Click here for full story The Peto Memorial Garden Landscaping contract was awarded to Banyards in January 2005, with work commencing shortly afterwards.

The project involved: clearance of the site, contour formation and hard landscaping in the form of a disabled access ramp and the installation of cast iron fencing.



Arts Institute of Bournemouth

Click here for full story It was under contract to Dorset County Council that we first started grounds maintenance in 1992 for the Arts Institute at Bournemouth... and we’re still there handling regular landscape building and development work, alongside ongoing grounds maintenance.
