5th Oct 2005 |
Banyards received the coveted 'Contractor of the Year: Arboriculture' accolade at the Horticulture Week 2005 awards ceremony in London recently.
Sponsored by Stihl power tools, the award recognises Banyards' contribution to promoting best practice in the industry and, in particular, its recent success in working in partnership with Dorset County Council's contracting arm, Dorset Works Organisation, within the innovative Dorset Arboriculture Partnership.
Peter Ellis, Banyards' Tree Surgery manager, received the award from BBC television personality Fiona Bruce at a gala evening at the Riverside Park Plaza Hotel in the presence of the good and the great from the world of horticulture and arboriculture. Peter commented: "We are delighted that the expertise and professionalism of our tree surgery department and the success of the Partnership thus far has been formally recognised. This award is a personal pat on the back for our teams and administrative staff and recognises Banyards' commitment to excellence and innovation."
